I love carnival and have been going for decades. This painting depicts portraits of many family members and friends at carnival and celebrates the warmth and harmony between diverse communities, cultures, genders, sexuality and ages at this unique, London event. I used hundreds of photographs, I have taken at carnival over the years as a stimulus to create this painting.
